Combining medicine with psychotherapy.

Better Minds draws on the considerable research expertise of Monash University and the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne, the number one ranked medical school in Australia and 11th internationally.

It focuses on clinical trials of neuromedicine-assisted psychotherapies using psychoactive medicines (including those sometimes referred to as “psychedelics”), exploring their effect on brain mechanisms.

Using modern imaging technology, it will investigate neuromedicines at the molecular and cellular level to see how they change the way the brain functions, as well as the effect of these neuromedicines with psychotherapy.
