Victorian public ketamine clinic for severe depression

The first public ketamine clinic is now open in Victoria for people with hard-to-treat depression.
Collaborator of the NDC, Professor Chris Davey is the Clinic Director of the Royal Melbourne Hospital’s new Advanced Interventions in Mood Disorders Clinic, where patients with severe depression who have previously failed to respond to antidepressants will be able to access low doses of ketamine.
Chris, who is also Head of the University of Melbourne’s Department of Psychiatry, is hoping that access to this treatment will kick-start patients’ recovery to hard-to-treat depression.
